Reports are already coming in from the women who attended the Northwest Region Ladies Retreat (May 14-16, 2010) at Stewart Lodge, in Cle Elum, Washington, who seem to have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. In fact, excitement is already mounting for next year's retreat, with to promise of what some of the ladies are saying has made for an ideal getaway (one that they look forward to doing again).
The decision to utilize the Stewart Lodge came as a result of feedback from last year's retreat, which was held just outside of Ellensburg. Some of the ladies had expressed a desire for more privacy and softer beds. The accommodations at Stewart Lodge provided both, allowing each of the ladies to share a nice room with just a few other women. This promoted a more comfortable stay and a closer fellowship within the smaller groups.
The retreat also rented the lodge's guest house, which provided a kitchen and sitting area where the ladies could visit for as long as they pleased. It seems that the ladies appreciated the opportunity to find a reprieve or weekend escape from the stress and responsibilities of their often chaotic lives, during which they were able to indulge in some much needed comfort, relaxation, fellowship and fabulous spiritual food.
